Dr. Byol Shin works as an allergist and has been with Gwinnett Clinic since 2008. His practice is in Lawrenceville and Duluth. Dr. Shin graduated medical school from Stony Brook University, NY, Summa Cum Laude, and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine with the highest honor. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Prestigious Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, CT. He completed his Fellowship Training in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of South Florida, where he received several awards including a Featured Presentation at the National Meeting. Dr. Shin has expertise in allergic rhinitis, sinus problems, asthma, eczema, hives, food allergies, insect anaphylaxis, immune problems, and various allergic skin conditions. He treats patients of all ages, adults, and children.
Dr. Shin is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy/Immunology and serves as a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology; the College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology; and the Georgia Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Society. Dr. Shin is married and has two beautiful children. He enjoys playing the piano and hiking mountains with his son. He is fluent in both English and Korean.
