Since seventh grade, Dr. Shomari Ruffin had always wanted to become a doctor. His passion for helping people return to a healthy, active lifestyle ultimately led him to pursue a career as an orthopedic surgeon. He enjoys caring for patients at Gwinnett Clinic because it provides the opportunity to offer a multi-specialty approach to patient care.

Currently, he is learning more about Little League baseball rules for his sons and competitive dance routines with his daughter. Within the community, he enjoys exploring new local restaurants and hiking various trails. Some of his favorite hobbies include working out, spending time playing with his children, watching sports, and attending concerts. His clinical interests focus on sports medicine, particularly conditions involving the shoulders and knees.
